Glimpses into the Foreseeable Future—A Coming Sexual Revolution in Space?
Report Topics:
- The battle of the sexes on Earth will one day find its solution in the depths of space
Full Report:
If true peace is to one day come to the whole world, then surely it must also come on a most fundamental level, between the sexes. For the past several thousands of years there has existed an unbalanced predominance of male sexuality in most global societies. Before this, as we can determine through examining the remains left to us from prehistoric ages, the opposite was true. There once was an unbalanced predominance of the female sex.
We presently stand at a most unique moment when, recognizing and admitting to the extremes of both sexes we have endured so far, we may now begin to work together toward something new, a very real harmony among all sexes everywhere.
What can no longer be denied is that each sex possesses its own power of sexuality, and with this taken to the next step, its own role in combining together to invoke the life force itself, the power of mutual sexual transcendence, which in turn can lead to the two greatest mysteries of all, procreation and self-creation.
Where before one sex has resorted to suppressing the sexuality of the other for its own limited immediate gains, now we may hope for a new era in which there is a true honoring of each other’s power. With this honoring shall come about a new loving regeneration, rejuvenation and freedom.
Gone will be the old dogmas, taboos, moralistic commandments and artificially-created sins which have caused so much fear, anxiety, guilt, psychological trauma, repression, exploitation, injustice, inequality, misunderstanding, ignorance, hatred, jealousy, disease, war and death through untold ages.
True masculine and feminine sexuality, for so long hidden in forbidden shadows and condemned by one sex or the other, can now be brought fully into the light and honestly accepted for the true power they both are.
More than this, where before the act of sexual union was denigrated into a purely physical submission of one sex to another, whereby the sexuality of one partner was deliberately blocked or misdirected by the other, today we may instead look forward to the act of sexual union being raised to become the shared spiritual love experience it was always intended to be.
Here too is the real source of beauty, appreciation, intimacy, kindness, sensitivity, understanding and integrity, out of which also blossoms ecstasy, liberation and transformation.
At the very heart of the matter must come the realization for each and every human being that, deep within our psyche, we possess both a masculine and feminine nature.
Regardless of what our outer physical sex may be, our inner consciousness expresses both, sometimes identified with left- and right-brain thinking, or the pragmatic-logical and intuitive-creative sides of who we are.
From a purely physiological point of view, we know that it is essential for different parts of the left brain to cooperate with corresponding portions of the right brain if an individual is to perform certain tasks. Sometimes it is important for one side to be temporarily predominant, in other cases it is the other side that functions better alone, and yet again there are times when the two need to coordinate and perform parallel but different processes to maximize the best results. In the outer world, this reflects how the sexes should ideally cooperate together.
As an example, a region on the left side of the brain called Broca’s area is essential for speech. If this specific area is damaged, then a person is unable to talk. Yet damage to the mirror region of the right side will not interfere with the speech process.
Conversely, another area—this one on the underside of the brain—is important for visually recognizing peoples’ faces. The right half of this region—known as the facial fusiform area—does most of the work. We know this because if an individual views a face only through their left eye—which is linked to the brain’s right hemisphere—they will do a far better job of recognition than if they use only their right eye.
Then again, in other regions dealing with the understanding and translation of language, the left brain specializes in the sounds of words and working out their syntax, while the right hemisphere equivalent is more sensitive to the emotional features of language, attuning to the rhythms of speech that carry intonation and stress. To be able to decipher the many subtleties of communicating with others, both these regions need to multi-task together in order to comprehend the full range of signals being received in order to quickly respond with their own range of signals.
Not surprisingly, physiologists also recognize that within the context of the larger human population, it is the males who concentrate mostly on the logic of the meaning of words, while the female members are the ones who look more intuitively for the emotions in words. Only when there is a foundaton of understanding and cooperation between the two sexes, then can communications be successfully achieved. And it is this masculine-feminine division in language inter-communications in the outer world that ultimately has its origins in the left-right inner male-female brain functions in the single individual brain. As within, so without.
In the world at large, too often what has happened is that, through misguided family, social, religious or educational upbringing, we have been molded to play certain accepted role models based on our outer physical sex. This creates an imbalance, for if we do not come to terms with our inner duality, we end up projecting only one side of our nature. This in turn creates an imbalance in our relationships with others, particularly the opposite sex.
By suppressing one side of ourselves, we constantly seek fulfillment by projecting that loss onto someone else, placing dependencies, limitations and expectations upon the other person, which can lead to serious communications problems. The answer is to rise above the old established role models, go deep within ourselves and lovingly integrate our whole nature.
By honestly recognizing both our masculine and feminine sides, and celebrating an inner marriage between the two, we can then face the world as a whole person, and accept others for the whole persons they really are.
Likewise, it is also through our own inner marriage that we come to terms with our own sexuality as well as the sexuality of others. By being in union within, we claim full ownership of our sexual power, and can more fully honor the sexual power of our physical partner, as we join in union with them, into a higher dimension of loving wholeness together.
One of the major modern myths to be exploded is that sexuality should only be expressed for procreation. Procreation, bringing another human being into the world, is to be sure a sacred act and magnificent responsibility. But sexuality is not an exclusive provision for it.
In contrast to animal sexuality which is limited by season, instinct and survival needs, human sexuality can take place any time, anywhere, under a wide variety of circumstances far beyond mere procreative needs.
It is clear that human sexuality has two goals - procreation and self-creation. It is through the power of sexuality that not just new life comes into being but also new consciousness. It is one of the major methods we have of bringing opposite yet mutually interdependent energies together and, reaching upward, can attain a third point of synthesis, a unity in spiritual love, unobtainable by ourselves alone.
Throughout our history, from the Song of Solomon to Hindu Tantric texts, the pursuit of sexual ecstasy as a religious experience has been long sought after as a form of higher spiritual fulfillment.
It is not a coincidence that just as we are exploring a new-found harmony between the sexes, humanity is also reaching outward into deep space.
Earthbound and subject to gravity, the act of sexual union has been admittedly awkward, with positioning dependent upon strength and endurance based on weight distribution. Who ends up on top or on the bottom has also led to unbalanced dominance-submissive roles among the sexes.
But in the zero gravity environment of deep space, all this is changed. Being weightless and free-floating, there is no undue exertion, no up and down, only a beautiful ballet between partners who may wish to experience any number of desired positions not possible in one-directional gravity fields.
Also, it is easier for the heart to pump blood in deep space, so that the ecstasy of an erection, orgasm and climax for both sexes is more readily obtainable and maintainable.
In addition, with the absence of gravity, fertilization of the ovum by the sperm becomes much less likely, so that shared sexuality exclusively for the sake of mutual loving empowerment and experiential transcendence is a far more reachable goal.
Deep space, then, will be an important key for human sexuality in the future.
Moving beyond the smothering female cults and aggressive male religions of the past, it will finally be in deep space that the two sexes will find true love-harmony and balance together, as they become the new children of the cosmos.
And, looking far beyond, what shall true expressions of love in deep space create? The coming sexual revolution in the outer reaches of the heavens will not only bring about a solution to the old battle of the sexes here on Earth, but it will also serve as the necessary first step for the spawning of humanity and its species far from our home sphere, and the colonization of other star-born planets. Mutual sexual at-one-ment will be the foundation of a new galactic civilization.
