  • Taking a deeper look at an old yet the most workable framework for interpreting both the past and future

Full Report:

The main central theme of this paradigm is that history has always been cyclic in nature. Such a viewpoint was shared in common among all classical and ancient philosophers and historians. Most major cultures and religions of the world, past and present, preserve mythologies or sacred texts which depict in great detail humankind’s passage through several world ages or repeating series of creations and destructions that were recorded to have been hundreds of thousands if not millions of years old. These ancient insights in turn are being corroborated by more modern occult and esoteric writers who have received intuitive, psychic, visionary and channeled information from spiritual sources of a highly accurate quality. They have received volumes of messages on the lost histories and advanced achievements of such forgotten cycles of civilization known as Atlantis, Lemuria, Mw, Hyperborea and Polaria.

Ancient philosophers, metaphysicians and mystics alike generally accept the basic tenets of evolution, but with important differences. Uniformitarian Evolution teaches that when the Earth first formed 4.5 billion years ago, it went through a long period of being in a hot liquid state before eventually cooling. Cyclic history advocates on the other hand believe that the duration of our planet has been much longer, being of the same age as the rest of the universe or 15 to 20 billion years old. If this is the case, then the Earth would have had time to experience a series of meltings and coolings. Each time the planetary surface solidified, it supported its own unique array of evolving plant and animal life, as well as its own intelligent life forms who developed a multitude of unimaginable civilizations.

Eventually, every time the surface returned to a molten state due to periodic meteoric bombardments or massive world-wide eruptions triggered by cosmic cataclysms, the fossil and artifact records were wiped clean. The significant exceptions may be the existence of incredibly old time-capsules deliberately left behind that were buried much farther down in the early Earth’s more stable mantle, or were placed on other planets for us to find one day.

In more recent geologic history, Uniformitarian Evolution insists there has been only one line of evolutionary development from simple to complex life forms, represented in the fossil record. But cyclic historical supporters point to the existence of numerous fossil anomalies among the planetary strata which suggest that in truth complex creatures have emerged more than once, leading to intelligent life. And it has been these beings who in the distant past evolved further to develop a multitude of their own cultures and technologies. Here, metaphysicians and mystics claim, is the real source for the presence of out-of-place artifacts embedded throughout the geologic record.

If we take our own physical evolution over the past 18 million years as one average, and our present cultural blossoming in the last 10,000 years as another average, then we are looking at the possibility of 250 previous evolutions of intelligent beings producing 450,000 cycles of pre-existing civilizations extending all the way down to the bottom layer of the present geological strata.

More pragmatic historical researchers may be opposed to the subjective nature of spiritual communications as a basis for exploring the mysteries of the past. But the information gathered from such sources has proven to be reliable time and time again, especially when correlated with known archaeological and geological data. In addition, it is this channeled perspective that also offers us some unique profound revelations concerning our own origins and destiny.

Occult and esoteric sources envision that we are all part of a larger single oversoul or soul influx that arrived on this planet from another world or dimension of existence millions of years ago. This is similar to the concept of Extraterrestrialism, only it has far more metaphysical implications. Upon our oversoul’s arrival, we began working with the guiding spirit of this world, the Earth Mother, to fashion an existing evolved higher life form—in our case the simian hominids— into a vehicle within which separate individual parts of the soul influx could inhabit and experience physical existence.

In turn, by means of reincarnation, all individual souls live through a sequence of many lifetimes in different bodies, and our true growth is measured by the spiritual progress we make during the sum total of lifetimes we pass through. During our many karmic inter-relationships and our collective learning process of creating civilizations, we experience the lessons of their cyclic rising and falling. Eventually a portion of or the entire soul influx is given the opportunity to graduate and transcend together into a higher level of spiritual existence.

Sometimes this graduation process was swift yet peaceful. We have discovered examples in the more recent archaeological record in which whole ancient city states or regional cultures were inexplicably abandoned, the people appearing to have dropped the tools of their livelihood where they stood and vanished without a trace. In other cases, excavated skeletal remains were found littering the streets of former urban centers, yet they show no signs of struggle or violence, holding hands together. Their soul-vacated bodies simply fell and remained where they collapsed. In still other instances, a spiritual graduation was accompanied by a planetary upheaval that destroyed a civilization and annihilated its entire population, allowing their souls to depart together.

In essence, the Earth has been like a great schoolhouse, and it has had more than one graduation class. Before our sojourn here, countless other soul influxes passed through our world. They inhabited various physical vehicles, constructed their own civilizations and learned their lessons before moving on. And after we ourselves eventually graduate and bid adieu to our school matron, the Earth Mother, there will be other influxes coming in to take our place, building the next succeeding cycle of civilizations.

Thus, from the Philosophical-Metaphysical-Occult-Esoteric perspective, the out-of-place artifacts found in the rock layers beneath our feet are in reality our inheritence bequeathed to us by other graduating classes of oversouls from the distant past. The more we search, the more the possibilities exist that we may one day also find the time-capsules of wisdom they left for us to discover. Above and beyond this, we may well ask, what kind of legacies will we leave behind for the next class of intelligent beings who come after us?

Over the eons, the ongoing cyclic passage of intelligent life forms through our planetary schoolhouse and their spiritual graduation may be a grand procession of higher evolutionary development that is as old as the universe itself.

In light of this new paradigm, we may well ask, what will be our own next great step forward into the future?

Humanity has come a long way in just a short time, yet we have a far greater future challenge before us, one that, once we arrive there, will make what we are experiencing now seem as if we are only a fetus in a womb still waiting to be born.

Just five hundred years ago half the people of our planet did not know the other half existed. Only half a millennium ago, whether the Sun or the Earth is at the center of the solar system was still being hotly debated. Not quite two centuries ago came steam power and electricity. A century ago human flight was achieved, and a little more than half a century later we walked on the Moon.

Humanity somehow survived the terrible world wars of the twentieth century, and if we can manage to live through the onslaught of disastrous ecological and climatic reactions to what our industrial follies have wrought upon our planet, then we will be more than ready to take the momentous leap into the rest of the universe that awaits our coming. If we can successfully meet the challenge of surviving on our own world—inspite of ourselves—then all that we will have endured will be only a preparation for survival on other worlds.

As far as space itelf extends into the beyond, so extends the future possibilities of human existence out in space. This is where we truly belong. Our lessons of being able to subsist on Earth and co-exist with each other is our ticket to the cosmos.

We have only very recently discovered that not only are there other planets circling other stars, but that quite a number of these are habitable and could support life. Even in our own solar system, in the somewhat hostile environments of neighboring orbs and moons, the possibility that life may exist even here is very real. All these solar and extra-solar globes are our potential homes of the future. The Earth is merely a seedpod waiting to burst open, the life it has long nurtured and developed now ready to be borne adrift upon galactic winds, to find its fruition in alien soils radiated by new suns.

How far will humanity travel? The vastness of space knows no limits. After the local planets are colonized, the next step will be to reach out to the nearest stars. Once their worlds are settled, the leapfrog process will continue on throughout the billions of stars in our galaxy. Beyond are more galaxies still, and galactic clusters farther out than the best telescopes today can see.

Each world colonized will offer its own challenges and rewards. New sciences and technologies, as well as new forms of art, music and human expressions will be tempered and shaped by the alien landscapes we will discover. To those who remain Earthbound, such new ideas, knowledge and forms may not be understandable at all—but they will still be very human. Even humanity itself, over the course of many ages of habitation in extraterrestrial environments, may undergo evolutionary changes unimaginable.

Because of the vastness of space, and the long periods of time it will take communications to travel such great distances, we will no doubt lose track of all the many streams of star explorers and settlers journeying into the depths. They in turn will very likely forget about us, about their own origins. They will pursue their guiding stars with no connection or memory of the past.

Like in our nursery back on Earth, whole civilizations may rise and fall, great empires will hold sway then collapse, vast economic enterprises will make their riches and descend into ruin, and wonderful new philosophies and spiritual ideas will be born and flourish before being replaced by those more profound yet.

Making the universe an even more interesting and provocative place to live in, there is the very real possibility that we are not alone as an intelligent and creative force. What oceans on other worlds far away have spawned life that has evolved along different paths than our own and have birthed societies and technologies beyond our imaginations? How will humanity encounter them and how will they encounter us?

Taking this a step further, opening up the frontiers of space will inevitably lead to the opening up of other dimensions of space and time. And what forms of intelligent life and creativity will we discover inhabiting such inter-dimensional realms? Will they be the same beings that we have always known from our ancient myths and legends? Or have we been the beings of their myths and legends, with our collective dreams having been our common meeting place?

There is too the very intriguing question, have we done all this before? As human explorers land on the far-flung worlds of distant star systems, will we find traces of our having already been there, the remnants of forgotten advanced prehistoric human civilizations who journeyed along the same paths of exploration in unknown ages long gone? Is our future only a repeat, a deja vu of our past? And if it is, how far out will we make it this time around?

Particularly when we look at the geologic record and the existence of out-of-place artifacts that reveal the presence on our planet of sophisticated civilizations stretching back billions of years, another fascinating possibility is that prehistoric space colonization efforts by countless Earth-bound real “ancient astronauts” may have returned and once made attempts to contact us many times before.

It has been calculated that if an expedition left our solar system for the galaxy of Andromeda traveling at 99.999 percent the speed of light, it would take 27.5 years for the voyagers to reach their goal, and 27.5 years to get back home, for a round trip of 55 years. But because of relativistic space-time differences, our world during the same period would have aged three million years.

If the paradigm of Extraterrestrialism has validity, is it possible that we are even now being observed and visited not by true extraterrestrials, but rather by our own distant ancestors who made it to the stars and are just getting back?

Up to this point, we have been dealing with humanity’s future expansion into the cosmos on a purely physical level, using physical vehicles to reach distant worlds. But if the Philosophical-Metaphysical-Occult-Esoteric model also has had an inherent spiritual validation based on our own past historical experiences, then humanity’s coming leap into the rest of the universe will most likely be on the soul level as well. After our collective soul influx transcends our schoolhouse sojourn here on Earth, perhaps we will choose to enter en mass into the physical bodies of higher evolved beings on a distant planet in another star system or galaxy, in order for us to gain an even greater spiritual experience over the next several millions of years.

And if this has been a continuous experience, how many times have we done this already? Can we even begin to comprehend how long this process has been going on, or will continue to go on?

Long after our Sun slowly turns into an expanding red giant, the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans boil away, and the Earth itself is absorbed into the solar body in a final conflagration, humanity will have been living and thriving elsewhere, in one form or another, for eons of time. Whether as physical beings or as soul spirits spread across the cosmos, in this way humanity will attain its eternal moment, in a future without end.
