Three of the Openers of the Lost Hall to be Born Along the Nile

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Aux fins du Var changer les pomptans,
Près du rivage les trios beaux enfants naître:

Century VIII, Quatrain 97

LINE ONE:

Aux fin du Var changer les pomptans—“At the limits (within the borders of a region or country) of Var (or VAR) to change (to alter, to transmute the appearance) the pomp tans (Greek pan, all, and Latin potens, powerful; or all-powerful).”

The word Var, as it stands, is the name of a river which flows into the Mediterranean between the French cities of Cannes and Nice, and in Nostradamus’ day constituted the border with Savoy.

Later, as one of the old Departments of France, the area of Var was located between Marseilles and Cannes. Based on this as the obvious interpretation, we might conclude that the scenario for this verse would be the prophet’s home region of southern France.

However, as we will also see in so many of his other quatrains, Nostradamus used many of the names of his local area as clever anagrams to disguise another, more distant land and time, that of ancient Egypt. In the 1605 edition of the seer’s book of prophecy, the key word appears as VAR, all in caps, which was one of Nostradamus’ signals to his cipher-breakers to look beyond the obvious, and see the word in question as an anagram.

According to the strict rules of medieval and Renaissance anagrammic writing, as outlined in the literature of the prophet’s day, it was permissible to change letters in a word around in any manner, though it was considered a clever point if, in doing so, a new word was created that had another hidden meaning. In addition, one to two letters were allowed to be dropped or added, and another one or two could be exchanged for others. Also, it was within anagrammic bounds to alter one phonetic spelling for another that was similar.

Applying these rules, we find that VAR is a simple apocope for RA, the name of the Egyptian supreme god of the Sun. Ra was indeed considered pomp tans or “all-powerful” along the entire “bank” of the Nile river (line two), and among the p’y-lands of its multitude of temples (line four). These various clues would indicate that Egypt, and not France, is the intended focus of this verse.

The term pomp tans was probably here meant to be utilized in the general sense only. However, in Century X, Quatrain !00, Nostradamus used a similar term, pempotam, in referring more specifically to the rise of the British Empire over the course of three hundred years. Admittedly, in the poem here, Britain has little to connect with in the rest of the geographic context of the subject matter—unless the prophet was hinting at the prospects that at least one of the coming Hall of Records’ openers will be from Britain, as we shall study later, in Century VIII, Quatrain 5.

In his prose prediction, the “Epistle to Henri Secundus,” Nostradamus further used the word pampotamia in alluding to the city of the United Nations, New York, as once being under British colonial rule. By similar definition here, pampotans can also be applied to Egypt, since it too was under Britain’s dominion from the late eighteenth century through to the mid-twentieth centuries.

Looking at the line as a whole, we can render it as, “Within the borders where Ra is all-powerful (Egypt) (it) will be changed (altered, transmuted).” Astronomically and astrologically, the one event that can “alter” the appearance of the Sun, so that for a brief moment it is not “all-powerful,” would be a solar eclipse. If Egypt is the focus, then the prophet may have been pinpointing a future solar eclipse to be seen from that nation, as designating a time when the events described in the rest of this quatrain could be fulfilled. There will be a number of important solar eclipses impacting on Egypt over the next several decades in the twenty-first century. These include the solar events of January 15, 2010; August 2, 2027; March 20, 2034; September 12, 2053; November 5, 2059; and April 30, 2060.

LINE TWO:

Près du rivage les trios beaux enfants naître—“Near the (river’s) bank the three beautiful children to be born (to originate from).” If, as we have seen in line one, Egypt is the intended place, the river in question can only be the Nile, which predominates the land. Close to its shoreline will be “born” or will originate (appear, inhabit, take up residency) three children, who are singled out to fulfill together a specific destiny.

This is a very significant prophecy, for it mirrors the Egyptian Fourth Dynasty prophecy found in the Westcar Papyrus of “three brothers” who are to find the “Secret Chambers of the Books of Thoth.“ The Grail legends also speak of three of Percival’s “offspring” to one day perform the task of completing the Last Quest for the Ancient Wisdom, while American psychic Edgar Cayce had a vision of “three” Initiates who are to open the buried “storehouse” near the Sphinx at Giza, the Hall of Records.

In his journey to Egypt sometime between 1537 and 1544, Nostradamus very likely heard firsthand many additional Bedouin, Arabic and Coptic legends which likewise foresaw the future coming of the Three Openers, to one day be instrumental in revealing the secrets still hidden in the Pyramids and the Sphinx. The imagery that the children will be “beautiful” also matches Cayce’s description of the “three” Initiates as being “perfect” in body, mind and spirit, prepared over long ages and many lifetimes for their Great Work ahead.

LINE THREE:

Ruine au people par âge competent—“Ruin to the people of age competent (either of similar age, or having the same comparable status and abilities).”

There are several ways of interpreting this line, all of which fit the present and future particulars that are now unfolding. In one sense, Nostradamus implied that the “three children” in question have been chosen, that they are karmically destined to fulfill their life’s pursuit, and that those who possess the same exact attributes, skills and wisdom shall fall short of the goal of being Openers, because they are not the ones whose vibrational signatures were placed in the Hall to begin with. Any attempt made by others who have not been predetermined to be the Openers will suffer “ruin” and failure.

On another level, the prophet may have been hinting at the conditions in Egypt in general at the time the “three” are born or make their appearance. The “ruin” of those of similar “age” would indicated that, while they themselves will be born to be “beautiful,” other children their contemporaries will be suffering great hardships. As of this writing, the land of the Egypt is presently being disturbed by undercurrents of violence and terrorism from Islamic fundamentalists, which are also causing economic turmoil. One is reminded of the prophecy in the Hermetic work, “A Treatise on Initiation,” which described the land of the Nile to be potentially one day overwhelmed by terrible armed conflict, civil war and major disaster that will make the river run red with blood.

According to Nostradamus’ specifications in the verse here, it will be in such troublous times that the advent of the three children will happen. In yet a larger context, âge can also refer to an “age” or time period within the cycles of history. The “Age of Competence” or great technological abilities, but which is also an “Age of Ruin” or confusion and destruction, certainly pinpoints our time period today. It is likewise true that whenever an astrological Age comes to an end, all the unfinished karmic aspects of that Age return to be completed, creating a certain degree of chaos until they are faced and cleared away, before the next Age dawns.

As most astrologers are very much aware, today’s global crises are linked with the present-day ending of the Piscean Age, and the birthing process of the new Age of Aquarius, that dawned circa the year 2000 or soon after.

LINE FOUR:

Regne au pays changer plus voir croître—“Reign (rulership, power base, source of power) in the country (or p’y-lands, temple sites) to change more seen growing (increase, expand).”

The key word here is pays, which in the French means “country,” but which in its distant origins can be traced all the way back to the ancient Egyptian word p’y, referring specifically to the sacred sites or earth energy power spots upon which the Nile’s Temples of Initiation were purposely constructed. As can be determined from the Building Texts of Edfu, lost books of wisdom once spoke of the prehistoric age when Thoth and his Followers used instruments of power taken from the bw-hmn, “the place of deep underground construction” or Hall of Records, to establish the p’y-lands for their sanctuaries, which subsequent generations of Egyptian priests and priestesses steadfastly maintained for thousands of years, until the beginning of the Christian Era, when they were forced to shut down.

The wording plus voir can be understood to read “not more seen,” as well as “more seen,” indicating that the prophet foresaw an initial long period of neglect and desolation, followed by the Temple sites of Egypt being restored. On the physical level, the restoration is already happening, beginning with archaeological reconstruction work in the nineteenth century and continuing even today.

On the spiritual level, the earth energies are also returning to certain sanctuary precincts, and their overall vibrations are “growing,” being raised to a new frequency. Special groups of people from many nations have been visiting Egypt, not as tourists but as the new energizers and protectors of the sacred places.

All this return to power will be very important, for it will form the prelude preparations for the Openers to come and fulfill their last Initiations within the Temples along the Nile, before they fulfill their ultimate goal—to gain entrance into the Hall of Records itself, in the place where Ra is born supreme every morning—the Sphinx of Giza.

THE PROPHECY:

Within the ancient land of Egypt, where the One god Ra once ruled as sovereign deity, during the time of a solar eclipse three special people will be born or will arrive near the Nile. Their destiny will be to perform the Great Work of uncovering the Ancient Wisdom. This will occur when Egypt itself will be undergoing major transformations, concurrent with a re-sanctification of the ancient Temples as the New Centers for Planetary Initiation, marked by an increase in their spiritual energies.

Celestial Signs for the Coming Opening of the Lost Hall

Sol sera vu pur, rutilant et blond.

Century IV, Quatrain 29

LINE ONE:

Le Sol caché éclipsé par Mercure—“The Sun hidden eclipsed by Mercury.”

What is being described here is a relatively rare astronomical phenomenon called a transit of the planet Mercury across the face of the Sun. This is when Mercury, when viewed from the Earth, is in such a position as to appear as a small dot moving over the Solar disk. What is significant is that we have had a spate of such transits, all within the period of the changeover from one millennium to the next, which may have been precisely the period Nostradamus was forecasting for. On November 6, 1993, Mercury barely brushed the southeastern rim of the Sun, while on November 15, 1999 it skimmed the northwestern rim. The next transits following—on May 7, 2003 and November 8, 2006—passed much deeper across the Sun’s area, and corresponded with the dates of what are called the Four Points of Avatar conjunctions as symbolized in the four astrological aspects of the Sphinx. After this, transits of Mercury will not take place until May 9, 2016; November 11, 2019; November 14, 2032; and November 7, 2039.

Many esoteric teachings portray the Sphinx as once embodying elements of each of the four Fixed signs—the front paws of a Lion (Leo), the back paws and tail of a Bull (Taurus), the head and face of a Human Being (Aquarius), and when the fire-boxes on its flanks were lit they gave the monument the flaming wings of an Eagle (Scorpio).

Contained within each of these signs are more specific astrological markers which a number of stargazers identify as the Four Points of Avatar, special energy points that are at commensurate distances away from the mid-point between the Galactic Center and the Super-Galactic Center. These are found at 14 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Scorpio.

Students of the Egyptian Mysteries believe that when all Four Points of Avatar are triggered by planetary configurations, this is a cosmic key for opening doorways into certain aspects of the Sphinx's forgotten secrets.

Significantly, the recent occurrences took place on August 6, 1999; May 4–14, 2003; November 6–11, 2005; and January 2–10, 2006—the second and fourth of these taking place close to Mercury transits.

There are some who believe that, as hinted at by Nostradamus, these auspicious events heralded the initial “calling forth” for the ancient souls of the Openers to either be born back into physical existence, or to begin their personal preparations.

As to when, exactly, the Giza Hall will be fully entered, this may not occur until just after the Mercury transits of 2032 and 2039 happen. Because in just a few years following, from January 18 through 21, 2042, the Sun, Moon and all the planets will be in the Four Quadrants of the Points of Avatar.

On the 18th, Mercury will be in Aquarius, Venus will be on the Aquarius PA (Point of Avatar), Mars will cross the Leo PA, Jupiter will sit on the Scorpio PA, Saturn will also be in Scorpio, Uranus will be in Leo, Neptune will be nearing the Taurus PA, and Pluto will be conjunct the Aquarius PA. Two days later the Sun will enter Aquarius, and on the 21st the New Moon will occur in Aquarius.

Other important PA conjunctions will also take place on June 14, September 14 and October 1, 2042, with a significant Solar Eclipse trigger following on October 14.

LINE TWO:

Ne sera mis que pour le ciel second—“Not to be placed that in the heaven (by the) second,” or “Will not be replaced in the sky by the second;” that is, the second planet, Venus.

What the prophet was alluding to here is a transit of Venus across the Sun’s face. The line can also be interpreted to refer to “when there are two such transits” to take place. Transits of Venus are even rarer than those of Mercury Yet noteworthy is the fact that right within the time-frame given above for the Mercury transits will occur two Venus transits—one on June 8, 2004 which has already happened close to a Four Points of Avatar event, and the other, a most important one, to take place June 5-6, 2012. This coming transit is also one of the markers in Mayan prophecy for the end of the Thirteenth Baktun and the beginning of the Sixth World Age for humanity. Will this also see an important revelation come forth regarding the Giza Hall of Records?

LINE THREE:

De Vulcan Hermes sera faite pâture—“Of (or by) Vulcan (Ptah, shaper of the Earth) Hermes (Thoth-Djehutis) will be made nourishment (variant: Latin patulous, opening, to stand ajar, wide).”

Removing the obscurities, the picture that emerges is that Ptah will cause the Earth to open, revealing the hidden presence of Thoth-Hermes, who will “nourish” the planet with new Wisdom. In other words, the lost Ancient Wisdom of Thoth, long secreted away in the Earth, will be brought to light again, to become the source of inspiration for the whole world. This, in essence, is what effect the coming Opening of the Hall of Records, Thoth’s hidden prehistoric library, will have on the next generation.

LINE FOUR:

Sol sera vu pur, rutilant et blond—“Sun will be seen pure (also Latin purum, to rise in an unclouded sky, red-glowing and yellow.”

The imagery here is of the Sun disk appearing on the eastern horizon at dawn, with the colors of red and gold. This, in ancient Egyptian symbology, is the manifestation of Ra-Harakhty, the god of the Sun, who was pictured wearing the Sun disk atop his head, always portrayed in wall engravings and papyri artwork as red and gold in color. His rising heralded the end of the long night, when the Sun god journeyed through the darkness of the Duat hidden beneath the Earth, to finally emerge to offer all humanity new Light. Ra-Harakhty, as archaeologists and historians have observed, was also the god of the Sphinx, because its face forever reflects the rays of the rising Sun it gazes into every morning. Here, hinted by the prophet, is where and when the Great Openings are to happen.

THE PROPHECY:

In our time-frame —between 2012 and 2042—the secret Hermetic Wisdom of the Hall of Records may finally come forth, and the key place and hour shall be in the area of the Sphinx at dawn.

The Dawning of the Sixth World Age to be a Key for Opening the Lost Hall?

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Century IV, Quatrain 28

LINE ONE:

Lors que Venus du Sol sera couvert—“When of (or by) Venus the Sun will be covered.”

Here again, as in the last verse, reference is made to a transit of Venus across the solar countenance, next to occur in 2012.

LINE TWO:

Sous la splendeur sera forme occulte—“Under (below, underneath) the splendor will be the form hidden,” or in an exchange of subject and object, as the seer was fond of doing to obscure the meaning, “Under the form (shape, image, figure, as in a statue) will be the hidden splendor;” also, “the splendor of occult (wisdom).”

That the enigmatic “form” or “image” in question is the Sphinx can be seen by its direct linkage with Mercury-Hermes-Thoth in the next line. In ancient Dynastic hieroglyph writings, the Sphinx was called the “House of Splendor” and the “Select Place of Hiding.”

LINE THREE:

Mercure au feu les aura découvert—“Mercury to (or by) fire they will be uncovered.”

This line has several levels of meaning. First, if Mercury is the planet, and the “fire” is the Sun, the “uncovering” could be yet another reference to the passage of Mercury across the solar face, which was also indicated in the previous verse as occurring in the same prophesied period as the Venus transit.

But Mercury can also refer to Thoth-Hermes, being his Roman appellation. To be “uncovered” means to be exposed, subjected. This can be expanded to read, “Thoth will challenge them (those who will enter below the Sphinx) with the fire (of Initiation).” Thoth-Hermes, as the Grand Master of the Egyptian Initiation process, will test all those who will come forth to claim the right of passage through the Doorway into his Greatest Mysteries.

LINE FOUR:

Par bruit bellique sera mis l’insulte—“By noise (sounds, vibrations) conflicting (confusing, disharmonic) (they) will be put to the insult (subjection, attack, assault, injury).”

One of the defense mechanisms protecting the Sphinx’s secrets, so often described in Egyptian, Classical, Coptic and Arabic legends, is the sound of shrieking, screaming, or an otherwise loud and unsettling noise, that has successfully driven away fearful intruders over many past ages.

However, on another level, bruit bellique can also refer to the cry of war, either as the sound of threatening or of fighting itself. This variation of meaning may indicate that, at the key moments when the potential Openings of the Hall of Records will come, the land of Egypt may be suffering from unrest, civil war, terrorist attack, or full-scale conflict with either Israel or one of its belligerent neighbors, Sudan or Libya. Part of the “Initiation of fire” in line three could be the challenge of simply getting to Giza unscathed.

Even more disturbing, the subject of the line may not be the Openers, but rather the monuments they will attempt to open, namely, the Pyramids and Sphinx. The line could then be interpreted to mean that it will be in their area that an act of terrorism or a battle or armed combat could take place, resulting in the monuments to suffer “insult” or injury—a partial destruction. This scenario is hinted at in other quatrains.

THE PROPHECY:

During an important period of transits of Venus and Mercury, the Sphinx may give up its secrets to a special few who will pass their Final Initiations, to become the Openers of the Hall of Records. However, these events may be concurrent with a time of unrest and fighting in the land of Egypt, possibly severely affecting the Giza area.

Another Nostradamian verse, quatrain IV, 30, suggests that not just Egypt but the entire world may be suffering from severe economic depression for at least a dozen years before the Hall is entered. The verse may be translated this way:

On more than eleven occasions (years) the Moon and Sun will not maintain their seasonal changes (major climatic and weather extremes?),
Rising and setting to enter a new Age by (Precessional) degrees (i.e., across the cusp between the Piscean and Aquarian Ages, which is just starting to happen now in our day),
Everything brought so low that there will be little gold to count (global economic collapse?),
But after a period of hunger and disease, comes the uncovering of the Secret.

The Giza Pyramids to be Struck by a Violent Lightning Storm

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Dessous le chaine Guien du ciel frappé,
Non lion de l est caché, le trésor:
Qui par longs siècle avait été grappé,
Trouvé mourra, l’oeil crevé de ressort.

Century I, Quatrain 27

LINE ONE:

Dessous le chaine Guien du ciel frappé—“Beneath the chain (of) Guien from the heaven (sky) struck.”

The phrase le chaine has been translated by more than one interpreter as “a chain of hills.” The name Guien is usually presumed to be the ancient province of Guienne, which once existed in southwestern France. However, there is no prominent “chain of hills” that are a distinguishable geographical feature in this region. If instead GUIEN becomes an anagram for GIZA, or GIZEH in the old spelling, then the “chain of hills” which dominate its plateau are the Three Pyramids, all aligned along a single “chain” or arc of a spiral, based on the Golden Mean Proportion.

That these are portrayed to be “struck from the sky” may be a prediction of the Giza monuments receiving some significant damage in the future. Being the highest point for miles around, the Pyramids have often been hit by lightning in their long history. As far back as the time of Pharaoh Khufu, according to his own words recounted in the Inventory Stele, repair work was done on both the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx due to lightning bolts hitting the stone surfaces.

LINE TWO:

Non loin de l est caché le trésor —“Not far from there is hidden the treasure.”

In the context of line one referring to the Giza Pyramids, Nostradamus was indicating here that the “hidden treasure” of the Hall of Records is to be found in their immediate vicinity.

LINE THREE:

Qui par longs siècle avait été grappé—“Which for long centuries (ages) has been gathered.”

True to the esoteric and legendary history of the lost Hall, we know that it has been the repository of Ancient Wisdom over a very long time-span, from its inception over twelve millennia ago, to as recently as the final disappearance of the Library of Alexandria in the seventh century A.D.

LINE FOUR:

Trouvé mourra, l’oeil crevé de ressort—“Discovered (by those who) will die (or have died), eye (Third Eye) pierced (opened) of the arisen.”

These fractional pieces, when reassembled coherently, tell us that the Hall will be entered by certain groups of individuals who have had past life experiences in Egypt, whose psychic eyes will be opened in order to understand their karmic interconnections, and who are now reincarnated together with the expressed purpose to rediscover the lost Ancient Wisdom.

The future tense of mourra also suggests that the Openers may undergo a near-death experience as part of their preparations. Likewise, ressort can refer not only to the ability to arise, to proceed further, to continue on, but also has the connotation of a spring, as an energy source. The prophet may have been alluding to a specific power vortex that will manifest in the Giza area near to the times of Opening, which will serve as a beacon for guiding the new Initiates to the Doorway.

THE PROPHECY:

The great Treasure of the Hall of Records, for so long hidden at Giza near the Pyramids, will be entered by the Ancient Ones returned to life, whose special Vision will see them through their Final Initiations.

Secret Treasures Within the Giza Pyramids to Finally be Revealed

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Enfant sans mains jamais vu si grand foudre:
L’enfant Royal au jeu detour blessé.
Au puy brises: fulgares allant moudre:
Trois sous les chaines par le milieu troussés.

Century I, Quatrain 65

LINE ONE:

Enfant sans mains jamais vu si grand foudre—“Child without hands never seen such a great thunderbolt;” also thunder, lightning, light, blast.

In the first part of the line, who the “child” is, is not made very clear. It could refer to one of the “three beautiful children” mentioned earlier in VIII, 97, who are to be the Three Primary Openers.

That the child in the verse here will be “without hands” can be taken literally or figuratively. If literally true, then the prophet—who took special note of the birth of unusual physical deformities in both people and animals as nature signs of subtle alterations taking place within the larger flow of human events—was hinting at a period of future time that will be confusing, disruptive and chaotic. If taken figuratively, however, then it may mean a child who will possess tremendous meditative and psychic powers, able to perform physical tasks “without hands,” using the mind alone. As a variant, sans mains can also be a shortened form of mal saint main, or epilepsy.

In the second part of the line, we are told about a “great thunderbolt,” most likely directly related to the “lightning” described in line two, and the destruction it will cause, given in lines two and three. Here, it is portrayed to one day be a phenomenon of such intensity and results, that the likes of which will “never” have been “seen” before.

What the connection will be between the child and the lightning is another point not made clear. Will the child, as one of the Openers, simply be an eye-witness to the destructive bolt? Will the child be hurt or injured in the lightning strike, as may be hinted at in line two? Or is it possible that the child, with such tremendous psychic powers, will be the one who generates the bolt, hurling it by mental command?

LINE TWO:

L’enfant Royal au jeu detour blessé—“The child Royal at the game of tennis wounded.”

Once again, as in line one, the various wordings and descriptives here lend themselves to a number of possible interpretations. The “child” mentioned may or may not be the same as the “child” in line one. “Royal” could refer to the social or political status of the child, but whether it is in this lifetime, or from another past life—a reincarnation of Akhnaten or a member of his Royal family, such as Tutankhamen?—is not elaborated further.

Another variant is that “Royal” may refer not to a person, but rather to the place. Being such a world-famous tourist attraction, the Pyramids at Giza are surrounded on the north and east sides by several large hotels, all of which have tennis courts for their guests, complete with panoramic views of the Pyramids. In the event a major electrical storm were to strike the Giza plateau and its monuments, it is conceivable that a number of people, caught out in the open on the courts without protection, could be “wounded” or injured by the lightning. One hotel in particular, built right at the foot of the north face of the Great Pyramid, is the Mena House.

It is the oldest and most prominent in the area, for it was originally built as a Royal Palace, a reception residence for visiting members of European royalty who were on hand to celebrate the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.

Also, it is possible for jeu detour could describe another, more modern sporting game of great popularity, golf. The Mena House today maintains an extensive area of golf links just below the east side of the Great Pyramid.

LINE THREE:

Au puys brises: flugures allant moudre—“On the hill (Old French puy, summit, high ground, plateau) fractures (Old French brises, breaking, fracturing) lightning (Latin fulgare, lightning) going to grind (grate, turn to powder, breakup, disintegrate).”

The scenario is of bursts of electrical discharge so powerful and so violent as to crack the rock surfaces open, and disintegrate certain stone blocks to powder.

LINE FOUR:

Trois sous les chaines par le milieu troussés—“Three under the chains by (or in) the middle (centers) trussed up (pulled out, dislodged, buckled).”

Once again, as in the last verse, the prophet used the phrase “chain (of hills)” in referring to the Pyramids of Giza, and here specifically enumerated them as being the “Three”—the Great, the Second and Third Pyramids, also today known as the Khufu (Cheops), the Khafre (Chephren) and Menkare (Mycerinus) Pyramids. Linked with puy or plateau given in line three, Nostradamus has pictured the Giza rock outcropping and its major monuments perfectly.

What the line here predicts is that the coming violent electrical storm may be only part of a much larger disaster, as a secondary effect to a major earthquake. What the prophet portended is that the very foundations of the monuments, deep within their underlying bedrock, are going to suffer sever faulting and cracking. This could only be the result of a quake of major proportions and intensity. Large cracks in the Great Pyramid’s internal masonry blocks, such as in the ceiling complex in the King’s Chamber and elsewhere, indicate that the monument has been subjected to such violent shocks before. Though tragic in its scope, such an earth tremor might nevertheless be necessary for revealing certain hidden aspects still preserved inside all the Pyramids.

THE PROPHECY:

A combined electrical storm and earthquake (or military action) will cause significant damage to the Giza area, injuring a number of people including children, as well as shaking the Pyramids to their foundations. Fissures and cracks will appear, stone blocks will be broken apart, and new discoveries may be exposed for the first time in ages.

Clues to the Entrance of the Giza Hall

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Dedans Tholose non loin de Beluzer,

Et en deux locs tout et près delvasacle.

Century VIII, Quatrain 30

LINE ONE:

Dedans Tholose non loin de Beluzer—“Inside (within) Tholose not far from Beluzer.”

Once more, as before, most commentators translate Tholose as the southern French city of Toulouse. The problem is, there is no connection whatsoever between it and the word Beluzer, or with the particulars in the rest of the quatrain.

If, however, as we noted earlier in IX, 9 that THOLOS = SOTHIS, then this puts the place and time into an Egyptian context, plus gives the other prophetic elements much better sense. Sothis, as we observed, refers to the heliacal rise of Sirius with the Sun, marking the High Nile, which took place in June-July.

The word Beluzer in the second half of the line is a real enigma, because it is not the name of any known geographical location, in France (certainly not near Toulouse), or elsewhere. As a descriptive, however, it derives from the Provençal belouser, which means, to dig; hence, beluzer is the “place of diggings” or excavations.

It also comes from the term beluze, used by the inhabitants of central France to refer to a schist or type of rock formation. Furthermore, in Latin, belousus alludes to a location where a certain “monster” or “beast” resides, the image of a creature that acts as the protector and overseer for the region. All these descriptives—a major rock formation made of schist (limestone), where major excavations have taken place, and which is guarded by the image of a “beast” (the Sphinx) fits Giza very well.

LINE TWO:

Faisant un puits loin, palais de spectacle—“Making (digging) a pit deep (near the) palace of spectacle.”

One commentator suggests that the “palace of spectacle” is an outdoor theater. It so happens that today, situated directly in front of the Sphinx and the Sphinx Temple at Giza, is a large outdoor theater, with seating area, called the Son et Lumiere or Sound and Light Pavilion. Every weekday night tourists come here to witness the “spectacle” of an audio-visual extravaganza, complete with colored lights and music, giving a dramatized version of the history of the Giza monuments. Between the seating area for the Pavilion and the outer walls of the Sphinx Temple is a flat, sandy stretch where several test drillings have been made, one of which, in 1980, pulled up a piece of Aswan granite from the depth of 65 feet. This type of stone is found only at Aswan, 490 miles to the south, so its presence here and at such a depth indicates that it is part of some underground construction.

Several proposals have been made to excavate a “deep pit” at this spot, in order to further explore what may exist below. In this line, Nostradamus predicts that such an excavation may yet transpire.

Another variant is that the word loin may be a simple letter-exchange for lion, so that the line could also refer to a “pit” being dug near the “lion” figure of the Sphinx.

LINE THREE:

Trésor trouvé un chacun ira vexer—“The treasure found (or searched for) everyone will be vexed (confused, troubled, distressed).”

It would appear that the ulterior motive for the future excavating of the “deep pit” in line two will be to locate the “treasure” of the Hall of Records by means of a forced entrance. However, while the treasure will eventually be “found,” it will be this particular digging effort that will be plagued by difficulties—”everyone will be vexed,” frustrated and disillusioned. As other sources have described, there are both true and false ways of entering the lost Hall, and what the prophet depicted here was a warning that this will be one of the false attempts that will fail, made at the wrong time, by the wrong people, and for the wrong reasons.

LINE FOUR:

Et en deux locs tout et près delvasacle—“And in two (or the second) locations (Old French locs, places) all (everything) and close by delvasacle.”

Confirming our interpretation of line three, the true (second) location for the Hall of Records, where “everything” sought after will remain safe and sound, is situated “close by.” As an interesting variant, locs could also refer to “locks”—the ipwt described in the Westcar Papyrus—that will be necessary for the true Opening events.

The word delvasacle finds several connotations, from the French vasque, basin, bowl, depression; the English vascular, ducts, passages; the Latin vasistas, opening, transom; and again, the Latin vascularus , gold working, a place of metal objects.

All these shades of meaning reflect on aspects of what comprises the Hall of Records.

THE PROPHECY:

At the foot of the Giza plateau, between the Sphinx and the Sound and Light Pavilion, a major excavation may be attempted to locate the Hall of Records. This attempt, however, will be a complete failure. The truer physical entrance into the Hall is located close by.

The Timing and Tools for Entering Beneath the Sphinx

Presage 78

LINE ONE:

Par le cristal l’entreprise rompue—“By the crystal the enterprise broken.”

If the word entreprise is divided in two, the pieces might be better read as, “By means of the crystal the entrance broken (open), the prize (gained).” The prophet made it known here that a certain “crystal,” possibly quartz, will serve as a specific key for passing through the Doorway into the lost Hall. We know today—even as the Ancients knew so well ages ago—that quartz can hold various frequencies of energy, information and even consciousness. It also can act as an amplifier and attuner for group energies. Such an instrument may prove to be valuable for the Openers to both harmonize their own vibrations, as well as to use as a Master Key for aligning the collective consciousness with the vibrational signatures of the Hall.

LINE TWO:

Jeux et festins, de LOIN plus reposer—“Games and feasts (festivals, celebrations) from (where) the LOIN = LION (the Sphinx) continues to repose.”

Just as Egyptologists have observed that the Sphinx as late as the Roman period was the place of worship and festivals, so it is interesting that today modern Egyptian families often spend their Friday holy days up on the Giza plateau, to picnic, play soccer football, or dance to the radio. Add to this the daily influx of hundreds of tourists from around the world, who come to specifically view and contemplate the Giza monuments’ hidden meanings. The Pyramids and Sphinx, so long neglected, are now seeing renewed life around them once more.

LINE THREE:

Plus ne fera prés des Grands sa repue—“No more taken close by the Great Ones (the Pyramids) his meal (Old French repue, meal; also offering, gift, sustenance).”

The thought here is that, while so much attention has been given to the Giza Pyramids for their study over the last two centuries, today it is the Sphinx which is receiving its much deserved “gifts” and “offerings” of restoration work. It has been only since the late 1920’s that the entire body of the Sphinx was unburied from its prison of sand, and now rivals the Pyramids as the number one tourist attraction in Egypt. All this, as Nostradamus foresaw, has been in preparation for the reclining Lion to be returned to its ancient status as the ultimate Guide for the Openers in their Quest for the Hall of Records.

LINE FOUR:

Subit catarrhe l’eau bénite arroser—“Sudden catarrh the water blessed to wash (sprinkle, baptize) him (the Lion of line two).”

The disease catarrh (from the Greek katarrous) is, in the human body, an inflammation which causes excessive excretion of mucous. This is the best analogy to what has been happening to the Sphinx monument in recent years, beginning “suddenly” in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Because of the building of the Russian High Dam at Aswan, and the creation of Laker Nasser, the water table throughout the entire Nile valley has been steadily rising, and as it continues, the water is leaching and concentrating salt out of the subterranean rock, which in turn is now eating away at the limestone foundations of many of Egypt’s temples and pyramids.

The Sphinx in particular has suffered greatly, with the exuding salt penetrating and dissolving portions of its stone surfaces, to the point where a good wind is enough to flake off the limestone in chips, and patches of the ancient brickwork have loosened and collapsed. Since 1981, efforts have been underway to re-brick and resurface the exterior of the Sphinx in order to save it from further destruction. How effective the measures of restoration taken so far will be, however, remains to be seen.

The rest of the line suggests that the Sphinx may be inflicted with damage of a different type, but from the same source, in the near future. The description of the monument to be “blessed” by “water”—either as a “wash” or a “sprinkle”—points back to two prophecies we were made aware of in earlier verses. If the Aswan Dam collapses, the resulting swelling of the Nile would create a wave that could very possibly reach as far as the body of the Sphinx, “washing” its paws. During early Pharaonic times, the waters of the High Nile did in fact reach as far as the foot of the Giza plateau.

Likewise, the violent lightning portended to strike Giza might be accompanied by a tremendous rainstorm that would certainly give the Sphinx a good “baptism” or “sprinkling” from above. Again, only in recent years, as the creation of Lake Nasser has affected the entire Nile environment, and in general as a result of steadily increased global warming, the weather patterns in Egypt have become wetter, with sudden downpours becoming far more frequent than in the past. Whatever the cause, Nostradamus forecast the coming deluge to be a sign of cleansing and preparation for the events that will transpire next.

THE PROPHECY:

The restoration projects being conducted at the Sphinx are preparing the monument for the advent of its Openers, who shall bring with them a special quartz crystal as their vibrational key. The coming of the Openers will be accompanied by major meteorological and seismic events, to severely affect all of Egypt in general, and Giza in particular.

The Beginning of Secret Initiations at the Sphinx Entrance

ORIGINAL TEXT:

A Tours, Gien, gardé seront yeux pénétrants,
Découvirront de lion la grande sereine:
Elle et sa suite au port seront entrants,
Combat, poussés, puissance souveraine.

Century II, Quatrain 14

LINE ONE:

A Tours, Gien, gardé seront yeux pénétrants—“At Tours (or the Towers) (of) Gien guarding will be eyes penetrating,” searching, looking intently.

The cities of Tours and Gien are located on the Loire river about a hundred miles from each other, in north-central France. However, “Tours” is also the word for Towers, and Gien is another perfect anagram for Giza, making the “Towers of Giza” the Pyramids. Among these, Nostradamus foresaw, will be the Guardians of old, who will be watching and waiting for the Openers to come. The “eyes penetrating” or searching, looking for, may also be a separate reference to all those who have been hunting and probing the Giza area, trying to discover its secrets, for their own personal gains. The hide-and-seek game that has been going on between the Guardians and the treasure-hunters stretches back for thousands of years.

LINE TWO:

Découvriront de loin la grande sereine—“Discovering (or uncovering) from afar (or LOIN = LION; at the Lion, the Sphinx) the grand serene (lady).”

As in the last two verses, where loin was designated to be the anagram for lion, the same cryptic holds true here as well. If the Lion is the Sphinx, then the “great serene lady” may be the Sphinx Herself, in Her original Lion-Woman form as the goddess Tefnut, pointing back twelve millennia to the cusp of Virgo and Leo, when the Hall of Records was first constructed. Or it could refer to the Goddess of the Sphinx, Sesheta, who along with Thoth-Djehutis are the Grand Initiators into the Final Mysteries.

If the Sphinx monument is the intended subject, then its “uncovering” has already been fulfilled, with the removal of sand from around Her base in the early part of the last century. If, instead, Sesheta is meant, Her presence at Giza would be the signal that the Initiation process has begun again.

LINE THREE:

Elle et sa suite au port seront entrants—“She and her suite (attendants, followers, retinue, students; also, a group of rooms) through the port (variant: porte, door, or Latin porta, portal, gate, opening) will enter.”

The “followers” of Sesheta would be the Initiates prepared for their Final Tests, and among them will be the Openers ready for the completion of their Great Work. Some of the Openers, coming from “afar” (line one), would need to pass through one of Egypt’s “ports” or entry—whether Cairo, Alexandria or Port Said. The last porte or doorway, however, will be the entrance into the Hall itself.

LINE FOUR:

Combat, poussés, puissance souveraine—“Combat (struggle, challenge) thrust (push, heave, to apply great pressure), power sovereign (to overcome, to dominate, to win).”

On the mundane level, these words could refer to an actual armed conflict to take place at Giza, which would be a temporary obstacle for the Openers to have to deal with, in coming to the area for their Final Initiations.

However, the prophet was more likely speaking in the spiritual sense. For some of the candidates, the Initiations will prove to be a real struggle, to “combat” their last inner limitations and dependencies. For them also, the opening of the inter-dimensional doorway into their own soul-mind-heart Hall of Records may involve all their energies to make one final “push,” to allow the door to give way. To those who are destined to succeed will flow forth the “sovereign power,” to overcome all final challenges, and celebrate the Victory of success which awaits them beyond.

THE PROPHECY:

The Guardians and Initiators are being prepared for the Openers’ eventual arrival. The Call will soon go forth for the Final Exam to begin.

A Failed Attempt to Break into the Hall

ORIGINAL TEXT:

L’ennemi docte se trouvera confus,
Grand camp malade, det défait par ambushes,
Monts Pyrenees et Poenus lui seront faits refus,
Proche du fleuve découvrant antiques cruches.

Century VI, Quatrain 99

LINE ONE:

L’ennemi docte se trouvera confus—“The enemy who is learned,” or, “The enemy of learning (the Ancient Wisdom) he will find (himself) confused (disoriented, turned around, lost).”

In the opening line here, we meet with someone who, though well educated (docte can refer to a doctor, having a doctoral degree), but who nevertheless will be an opponent to the more esoteric Wisdom of the past. In the context of the rest of the verse, he will be among those who will make a serious attempt to locate and enter the Hall of Records, but only for his own self-centered purposes, and not as a higher Spiritual calling. His efforts, the prophet informs us, will be lost amid confusion and bewilderment. This harks back to the particulars in VIII, 30, where the excavators of a “deep pit” in front of the Sphinx will be “vexed” by the results.

LINE TWO:

Grand camp malade, et défait par ambushes—“The great encampment sick, and defeated by ambushes.” One variant is embusques, to be under cover, to lie in wait, to be hidden and unexpected; another variant is en bûches, which can have the derogatory sense of “blockhead.”

The scenario is that the “enemy of learning” will organize a major archaeological team dig, one whose members will live and work together in a “camp” or compound very near to the Giza site.

However, the group consciousness will be very disharmonic with itself, and with the energies of the sacred area, which will eventually manifest physically as some form of disease or malady.

Meanwhile, the secret Guardians will launch their own offensive, completely undermining the work of the team by means of a series of blunders, false leads, careless mistakes and well-placed accidents. Recruited among the local workmen, the Guardians will act like ignorant “blockheads” to subtly sabotage every effort to penetrate the Mysteries.

LINE THREE:

Monts Pyrenees et Poenus lui seront faits refus—“Mountains Pyrenees and Poenus to him will the work be refused,” denied, unaccomplished.

On the initial surface reading, Pyrenees is the name of the mountains between France and Spain, and Poenus is the ancient appellation for the Pennine Alps in Italy. Once again, however, the obvious veils the hidden intended interpretation. “Monts Pyrenees” can be broken down to Pyre née, the “Mountains Where is the Spiritual Fire of Rebirth.” This is an esoteric reference to the Pyramids, whose very name, pyramiddim, means “Fire in the Center (or of the Center),” where the “fire” of the Final Initiation took place. “Poenus” is derived from the Latin words penes, penus and poena, which together describe a location of great power, a storehouse, or where challenges are overcome. As it is related to the Pyramids, this can only be the Hall of Records. The true spiritual nature and secrets of the Giza monuments will not be revealed, “refused” to him who will deny his own spiritual nature within himself.

LINE FOUR:

Proche du fleuve découvrant antiques cruches—“Near the flow (of the river, the Nile) discovering antique (ancient, old), jugs,” pitchers, bottles; also urns.

It may very will be that the “enemy of learning” of line one will be involved in the theft of the “urn” to be uncovered within the Step Pyramid at Saqqara (in VIII, 29), and which will be the cause of intrigue and murder in or near Cairo (Giza is presently a suburb of the city). Or the prophecy here may simply be that the “old jugs” and other minor artifacts will be all that the archaeological team will be able to discover at Giza, far short of their expectations and goal—to find the Hall of Records.

THE PROPHECY:

In the near future, a major archaeological project may be started at Giza to find the Hall of Records, headed by someone of great learning but possessing none of the Ancient Wisdom. Their endeavor will uncover very little of actual worth, the real treasure being secretly protected by the Guardians of the Giza plateau.

The Finding of the Lost Hall Will Completely Change Existing Philosophies

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Faux exposer viendra topographie,
Seront les cruches des monuments ouvertes:
Pulluler secte, sainte philosophie,
Pour blanches noires, et our antiques vertes.

Century VII, Quatrain 14

LINE ONE:

Faux exposer viendra topographie—“False to expose will come (the) topography,” or, re-assembling the pieces, we have, “They will come to find the hidden topography.”

Topography refers to the study of the lay of the land, its valleys and hills, its shapes and contours, for gaining a better way of traveling through it, or finding a good pathway to one’s destination. In the context of this verse being applied to Giza (line two), the “topography” in question is the secret geometry of how Giza’s monuments are inter-associated with each other, in an underlying pattern of number, distance and angle.

LINE TWO:

Seront les cruches des monuments ouvertes—“Will be the jugs (urns) of the monuments opened.” In the last verse we noted the coming discovery of “jugs” or urns to be linked with an archaeological dig at Giza. Here, we find them described to be uncovered from the “monuments opened,” or the Pyramids revealing their secrets. Again, as we also observed earlier, “urn” may be a cryptic time reference to the dawning of the Age of the Urn, or Aquarius, which is beginning to happen in our present day.

LINE THREE:

Pulluler secte, sainte philosophie—“To multiply (expand, amplify) sect (proponents of religious concepts), holy philosophy.”

The inference here is that the “jugs” or “urns” to be brought to light in line two will contain writings of a most unusual spiritual nature, which are going to have a profound effect on modern religious and philosophical thinking. Already, such lost manuscripts as the Gnostic library unearthed at Nag Hammadi, and the Essenic Dead Sea Scrolls found at Qumran, have caused significant waves of revision in our views of early Christianity. These works, however, date back only two thousand years. What will be the impact of sacred writings from twelve millennia ago, or six times older?

LINE FOUR:

Pour blanches noires, et pour antiques vertes—“For whites, blacks, and for the ancient, green (alive, reborn).”

The fuller meaning here can read, “White exchanged for black (falsehoods exposed), new living wisdom replacing established traditions which no longer work.” The Ancient Wisdom to come forth out of Giza will turn everything long accepted as “truth” upside down. Whole areas of history, science, philosophy, metaphysics, spirituality and cosmology are going to be subjected to a major revision, to the point of transforming our basic concepts of who we are, and what is our individual and collective purposes for being here.

THE PROPHECY:

An effort to study the sacred geometry of the layout of the major monuments at Giza, plus an examination of the internal geometric keys within the Pyramids, will reveal the locations of hidden containers which preserve writings of tremendous importance. These prehistoric records on the Ancient Wisdom will have the potential to significantly alter the course of humanity’s future spiritual development.

Other Ancient Truths, Long Lost, Will be Revived

ORIGINAL TEXT:

Les vieux chemins seront tous embellis,
L’on passera Memphis somentrée:
Le grand Mercure d’Hercules fleur de lis,
Faisant trembler terre, mer et contrée.

Century X, Quatrain 79

LINES ONE THROUGH FOUR:

The old spiritual pathways will be revived and improved,
One will proceed by them to ancient Memphis (center for dream incubation) and into the sleep state,
Wherein rules the powerful Mercury (Thoth-Hermes) also known as (Hermes) the Thrice-Great,
He who can cause the physical world of land and sea to be moved (changed, transformed).

A crucial point that most seekers after the Hall of Records do not understand is that the actual Hall may not be physical in nature at all, or at least will be in an inter-dimensional space which cannot be reached by purely physical means alone. There may yet be secret chambers or rooms that will be discovered—whether below the Sphinx or inside the Pyramids—but their true key will not be what, if anything, they will contain, but rather the vibrational shapes of the chambers themselves. As we noted earlier in regards to the sacred energy-form architecture of Tutankhamen’s tomb, the Egyptians recognized that shapes and combinations of shapes generate specific energy patterns, many influenced by cosmic cycles, and in turn influencing the life force and consciousness development of the human Initiate who entered the space.

In a similar way, what chambers known and unknown at Giza will be gained access, they will not be an end unto themselves, but will be the means toward a greater end—upplying the right energy pattern, at the right cosmic moment, for the right people who will possess the right astrological signatures, for awakening the Hall of Records from within themselves. The Doorway to the true Hall exists inside each one of us, and every Outer World experience in the physical realms around us are only preparatory Initiations for developing the wisdom and courage to face the opened Portal standing before us, in our Inner World.

Likewise, what material artifacts, if any, may be one day unearthed at Giza, will not be from the Hall itself, but will be reflections of what was learned as a result of the Hall inside ourselves having already been experienced.

The Doorway is the inter-dimensional passage into the Collective Higher, Divine and Cosmic Consciousnesses, for humanity, the planet, and the Universe itself. Only in the Final Process of going deep within ourselves, to the very core of our Inner Being, will we find the Doorway and be allowed to cross its threshold into the Hall of Records beyond.

One quatrain, VII, 41, in its expanded interpretation, reveals this concept of an Inner Hall very well:

It shall not be found through movements of the hands and feet (not through physical means, instead these shall remain still, placed together (as in sleep or meditation),
The Hidden House (the Hall of Records) silent, for long ages not entered,
But through dreams and meditations will be discovered and opened,
The House of Healing still silent, but now occupied by the discoverers.

Everything which exists within the ancient Egyptian Initiations, among the Mystery Schools of its great Temples—ts symbols, words, legends, teachings, images, gods and goddesses, statues, architecture, colors, sounds, and vibrations—as so designed to be the outer reflections of Inner realities. The Master Initiator, Thoth-Hermes, was above all else the God of Dreams. As he and the other Teachers realized from time immemorial, only in going deep into ourselves are we given the keys to the Doorway into all else.

If we wish to change the world, then we must first change ourselves. And in that act of inaugurating Inner Transformation, not only are the floodgates of Higher Wisdom opened to us, but so are the inter-World entrances to all the invisible Kingdoms existing throughout our planet, and even beyond, into other planets and star realms. The Door to these Kingdoms is inside us, and by accessing it, we are also given the power to Transform the physical world by means of working through the invisible subtler levels of inter-action and co-creation. By these means physical form is brought out of the etheric and into material manifestation. Thoth-Hermes, the Revealer of Outer Mysteries, is likewise in the Inner World the Giver of the Power to Create All Things Anew.
